When you connect an account, the platform issues us an access token. We use it to collect only the following:

We do not collect the content of your direct messages. We do not collect your followers’ personal information. We do not read or store your posts, except that a change in them can itself be a compromise signal, such as mass deletion.

We use cookies for signing you in and for basic analytics. We do not use them for advertising.

We do not use platform data for advertising, profiling, resale, or to train machine learning models.

Access tokens are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and logged. We use multi-factor authentication internally and require it on your Sociable account.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information we will tell you, and any regulator, as the law requires.

7. Your choices and rights

If you live in California, you have rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive information, and not to be treated differently for exercising them.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.

8. Children

Sociable is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we find that we have, we delete it.

We will post any new version with a new effective date, and email members about material changes.
